A complete Early Post-Medieval cast copper alloy hooked clasp dress fastener, dating to c. AD 1600-1700.  Read Class A, Type 1 (with three attachment knops). An incomplete Early Medieval copper alloy strap end, dating to c. AD 800-900.  Thomas Class A, Type 1. The strap end is long, sub-rectangular in plan, with curved sides which taper to a moulded zoomorphic terminal. The top, open end is broken and only one of the rivet holes is complete on the back plate. Rim sherd from a probable medieval vessel, dating to c. AD 1066-1539.  The body fabric is a hard pale orange/buff colour, whilst the rim is a pale grey.  There are moderate inclusions which are variably sorted.  The  maximum size of the inclusions is 3mm, but smaller ones are in the majority.   The inclusions range from a dark orange colour to a creamy colour and are of flint or limestone and red iron ores.  There are four prick marks in the rim which may form part of the decoration.  The fragment  is 70.1mm in …

An incomplete Roman copper alloy gem set finger ring. Guiraud Type 2a, dating to the 1st- early 3rd century AD. The oval amber coloured glass stone has shattered in situ within the bezel (this measures 9.6mm x 12.8mm). The bezel is 3.3mm thick and merges into the hoop with tapering shoulders.
