A complete Roman copper alloy polygonal finger ring, dating to c. AD 200-410. Henig type IX; Guiraud type 9a. The ring has eight external facets and is decorated with an incised ring around its circumference. On either side of this incised ring are diagonal incisions around the ring. Measurements:  diameter: 21.1 mm, width: 3.5 mms, and weight: 3.19g. See SUSS-2E9271 on the PAS database for a similar shaped finger ring

An incomplete copper alloy Roman gilded oval plate brooch inset with intaglio of black glass, dating to c. AD 250-300.  The incomplete brooch frame has a raised outer border with gilding around those outer edges which are still extant. This border creates a recessed field with incised decoration of V shapes which point towards the central collet. The gilding continues across this field and up the sides of the central collet. An incomplete Roman copper alloy gem set finger ring. Guiraud Type 2a, dating to the 1st- early 3rd century AD. The oval amber coloured glass stone has shattered in situ within the bezel (this measures 9.6mm x 12.8mm). The bezel is 3.3mm thick and merges into the hoop with tapering shoulders. Most of the hoop is missing due to old breaks.  Dimensions: diameter of hoop:16.1mm, thickness of hoop: 1.6mm.  Weight: 2.66g.

An Iron Age to Roman copper alloy figurine of a stylised, standing horse, probably dating to 100 BC to AD 100. The head of the horse is quite large in comparison to the body.  It now has two stubs for ears, due to old damage. A band between the ears suggests a brow band from a halter is depicted. An incomplete Roman copper alloy finger ring, dating to c. AD 43-100.  Guiraud Type 1.  The finger ring is decorated around the oval, upstanding bezel with a geometric design of engraved triangles of two types - plain or stippled.  The bezel retains the remains of a dark brownish red stone or glass setting.  The patina of the finger ring is light grey green. Dimensions:  height: 24.4mm; internal diameter of ring 16.3mm, external diameter 20.4mm, thickness of hoop 1.8mm, dimensions of bezel 12.0mm  x 10.0mm.  Weight 6.80 grams.

A fragment of a Roman copper alloy finger ring with integral raised copper alloy bezel, probably Guiraud/Henig Type 2 (1974 fig.1) , dating to c. A fragment of a Roman rim sherd, possibly wheel thrown, dating to c. AD 43-410. The fabric has a hard mid grey core with no visible inclusions. The surface is an oxidised orange - brown with mica visible. There are also some oval orange-brown inclusions on the surface which may be part of the clay. The rim represents about 10% of the original rim which was c. 14.5cm in diameter. Vessel type: probably Bowl. Dimensions: length: 48.5mm; width: 22.0mm; thickness: 8.6mm; weight: 9.0g.
