A lead gaming piece probably dating to the Early Medieval period. The object is circular in plan and triangular in section, both the top and bottom are flat and circular. There is no decoration. The metal is white in colour and the object weighs 11.1g, measuring 10.4mm in height and 10.5mm in diameter. Similar examples can be found on this database, for example SWYOR-21BDC3.

A complete copper alloy mount dating to the Medieval period. The mount is in the shape of a fleur de lis, there is one vertical extension and two curved on either side. Below these extensions is a horizontal line with three curved extensions pointing down. On the opposite side is a rivet that would have attached the object to what it was decorating. The metal is green in colour and well preserved. It weighs 5.9g and measures 27.76mm in length, 19.43mm in width and 4.91mm in thickness. See Egan, G. and Pritchard, F. An incomplete copper alloy harness pendant dating to between 1200-1400. The pendant is shield shaped and is missing the suspension loop. The front face is decorated with yellow, red and green enamel that has been worn away. The decoration is difficult to depict, but it is possibly a dragon passant left in a square with a lis either side. The back face is undecorated and the object is worn around the perimeter. It weighs 3.2g and measures 21.00mm in length and 20.00mm in width. The copper alloy is a dark green colour. A similar example can be found by looking at the record number DUR-6…

The following decoration is suggested: Obverse: Crowned thistle Reverse: Crown with Roman numerals below These types of coin weights were made after 1623 in the reign of Charles I and vary considerably, see Withers and Withers (1995) pg. 35 for more examples.
