A primary flint flake, possibly an arrowhead dating to the Prehistoric Period. The flake is triangular in shape, one side still has the remains of the cortex. The object has been retouched on all three sides. The flint is grey in colour, whilst the cortex is brown in colour. It weighs 1.8g, measuring 28.01mm in length, 19.91mm in width and 2.34mm in thickness.

A cast copper alloy plate brooch of Roman date (2nd century AD). The brooch is an incomplete example of an umbonate type. It is circular in plan and domed, with a hollow reverse. The front face is decorated with two rows of triangular cells culminating in a circular cell at the top of the dome. There is traces of the inalid enamel remaining in a few of the cells, blue on the row of cells around the perimeter of the object and red in the row above. Two fragments of a incomplete copper alloy Roman dragonesque brooch dating to the 2nd century AD (c. AD 75-175). The brooch consists of an S shaped openwork plate with both moulded and openwork decoration. At the top and bottom of the S are the heads of a dragon with a nose and ear protruding and a moulded eye made up of a ring and dot. One of the eyes is inlaid with white enamel, the other no longer has enamel remaining. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle chape dating from 1660-1790. The frame is triangular in plan and rectangular in section. One of the horizontal edges has a triangular protrusion facing on the inside of the object. At the opposite end is the bar or spindle which would have had the pin attached, this is now missing. The object is undecorated and brown in colour. It weighs 1.1g, measuring 21.85mm in length, 15.42mm in width and 1.42mm in thickness. A parallel can be found in Marshall, C. (1986) Buckles through the ages, 18: no. viii.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle dating to the Post Medieval period (1570-1700). The buckle is rectangular in plan and in section. One half of the buckle frame has been broken, the other half remains as does the spindle which spans just past the width of the object to form protrusions. The object is brown in colour and weighs 1.6g, measuring 19.98mm in length, 13.41mm in width and 2.19mm in thickness. A parallel can be found in Whitehead, R. (2003) Buckles 1250-1800, Greenlight Publishing: 82: no. 509.

A cast copper alloy stud or button dating to the Post Medieval period. The object is circular in plan and has been damaged so that disc is concave in shape. On the reverse of the object is a broken protrusion that suggests that it was used as a stud. There is also a clear casting seam running across the diameter of the object. The moulded design on the front face of the object is reminiscent of Post Medieval lead buttons, many examples of which can be found on the PAS database (see IOW-3BDB43 as a recent example). A cast copper alloy brooch of Late Roman/Early Medieval date (4th-5th centuries). The brooch is a derivative of the P shaped and crossbow types with a headstud at the top of the bow, possibly an example of a continental type from the Rhineland. All that remains is the bow, the foot and the pin are both missing. The bow is half moon shaped and decorated with downward pointing triangles towards the foot. It weighs 8.6g and measures 27.63mm in length, 19.60mm in width and 4.99mm in thickness. Mackreth (2011) Brooches in Late Iron Age and Roman Britain : vol 1, p198, plate 135.

A complete cast copper-alloy die of Early Anglo-Saxon date (late 6th-7th centuries AD). It is flat and triangular, and consists of a central panel surrounded by a border. The central panel is decorated in low relief with a double-strand interlace pattern. The border consists of a line of dots in between two relief lines. The border is interrupted by three flat undecorated circles, one at each point of the triangle. The metal is green and the object is in good condition. The reverse is undecorated.
