A complete hook-piece from a copper-alloy wrist clasp, dating to around the late 5th or 6th century. The clasp is sub-rectangular with a thicker bar along the front edge that is rounded on the upper surface. The bar is decorated with equally spaced transverse alternating broad flutes (or grooves) and narrower linear grooves. Cast in one with the bar is a plate with five perforations, two sub-oval holes to either side of a single sub-triangular central hole. A complete copper alloy buckle dating to c.1250-1400. The buckle is oval in plan with moulded decoration at one end with two rectangular protrusions either side of the decoration. The opposite end has a rectangular pin attached by a loop. There is also part of the rectangular bar attached. The metal is green in colour and the object weighs 4.8g and measures 33.60mm in length and 15.35mm at its widest point. See Whitehead, R. A broken fragment of a lead pilgrim's badge dating to the Medieval period. The object consists of the bottom half of a robed figure. It is roughly rectangular in shape and decorated with vertical incised lines. The longest sides are curved inwards and the back of the object is undecorated. Most of the edges are intact, apart from the bottom which has been broken. The object weighs 7.1g and measures 31.07mm in length, 21.20mm in width and the metal is 6.88mm thick. An incomplete copper alloy buckle dating to the late Early Medieval period with close parallels that have been dated to the 9th-12th centuries. The buckle is D shaped in plan, with a thick curved section and a narrow offset bar. Either side of the bar sub rectangular projections. The pin has been lost and is no longer present. The object has traces of silver remaining on the surface, but is otherwise copper alloy which is a mottled green/brown colour. It weighs 3.4g and measures 17.04mm in length and 15.37mm in width. An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch dating to the Roman period, 1st-2nd centuries AD. The brooch is missing the pin however, the rest of the brooch is present. The head is oval in shape with a circular loop attached that would have held the pin in place. There is a curved bow with moulded decoration about halfway down. A complete copper alloy harness pendant dating to c.1250-1400. The pendant is shield shape with an integral loop in the centre of the straight edge of the shield. The front of the shield is decorated with a rampant lion that has traces of red enamel remaining on the surface. Surrounding this decoration is some remains of yellow enamel. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The metal is green in colour and the object weighs 12.1g and measures 38.80m in length and 24.62mm at its widest point.
