The bow is d-shaped in section and is decorated with a single central longitudinal rib and diagonal lines. The wings are decorated with two diagonal lines from the top centre to outside bottom edges.

A fragment of a cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date. The spring case and upper part of the bow survive, the rest missing due to old breaks. The spring casing is undecorated and part of the spring remains inside. The bow is flat and projects from the spring casing at almost 90 degrees. There is then a collar with a projecting circular knop below and another collar at the break. It measures 18.18mm in length, 18.88mm in width, 4.27mm in thickness and weighs 4.63g.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date. Only the bow and part of the catchplate remain, the rest missing due to old breaks. The bow is flat and tapers slightly towards the foot. There is a collar at the top and it bends over at approximately 90 degrees to a second collar where it is broken. There is another collar at the foot and a semi-circular knop. There is a line of dots down each edge of the bow. The catchplate appears to have been triangular but is broken. It measures 37.25mm in length, 8.48mm in width, 1.72mm in thickness and weighs 3.07g.

The cover is broken where it begins to fold forwards. The brooch tapers towards the top of the bow and then flares. The bow is flat and is decorated with a wide central longitudinal rib flanked by two narrowed ribs. It measures 30.27mm in length, 10.89mm in width, 1.01mm in thickness and weighs 1.39g.

An incomplete bow brooch of Roman date. It is a Colchester derivative hinged brooch and the bow, part of the wings and part of the spring remain, the rest missing due to old breaks. It is very worn and any decoration is difficult to identify but there is a central rib down the bow. The wings are folded over the protect the spring, three coils of which survive. It measures 40.31mm in length, 16.32mm in width at the wings, 3.78mm in thickness and weighs 5.87g.

The part of the head that remains is rolled upwards to cover the missing spring. The bow is flared and is decorated with two longitudinal lines down the centre. It measures 23.62mm in length, 18.29mm in width, 1.98mm in thickness and weighs 1.93g. It is similar to examples published from Hatcheston (Blagg et al, 2004, no 23) and Colchester (Crummy, 1983, no 23).
