A complete copper alloy (bronze) copper-alloy Primary / Early phase Group III palstave of Middle Bronze Age dating (1500-1300 BC). The object has a single midrib visible on both faces. The blade of the palstave is sub-triangular in plan, with convex expanding sides, and a convex cutting edge. The cutting edge is slightly damaged, but appears to be symmetrical. The cutting edge measures 49.9 mm in width and is 2.4 mm thick. The blade has a length of 90.0 mm. In profile the blade is sub-triangular with the widest section being before the stop ridge. An incomplete copper alloy Polden Hill style brooch, of mid to Late Roman dating (mid 2nd to 4th Centuries). Around 75% of the brooch is present, with the pin missing and the foot incomplete. The brooch has cylindrical wings, with a pierced wing cap, slightly bigger than the wings. Shoulder ridges are present between the bow and the wings. An incomplete harness fitting: skirted terret type of Roman (AD mid-1st century and mid-2nd century) dating.
