The coin appears to be quite base, and the style of the coin is not entirely consistent with Series A2 or A3, perhaps indicating this to be a contemporary imitation (cf. D M Metcalf, Thrymsas and Sceattas in the Ashmoleam Museum, pl. 5, nos.95-6.
