An incomplete lead or lead alloy bi-conical weight, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1600).
The weight has a rounded base. The sides taper inwards towards the top. The remains of an iron suspension loop are present in the top of the weight.
It measures 34.0 mm in height and a maximum diameter of 18.8 mm. It weighs 35.9 g or 1.27 oz.
It is a light to mid grey colour, with an uneven surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.
