The token is heavily worn but it is possible to read [ ]COTT[ ]ELL on the obverse and BACONS[ ] on the reverse. This would identify the token as a half penny token issued by an John Cotterell initially of London, but evidence could suggest it coming from Bacon's Inn in Warwickshire (Dickinson (1986), p 101, no 105).
