An incomplete gilded silver iconographic finger ring of Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1500). The bezel is formed of two ridges with three faceted panels, each engraved with quatrelobed designs. The shoulders and the remains of the hoop are formed of a central ridge with two faceted panels which are engraved with a zig-zag design. The hoop is broken, approximately half of the ring surviving. A complete gold inscribed finger ring, of probable 16th to 17th Century AD dating. The finger ring was originally found flattened but has been restored by the finder to a circular shape. The exterior of the finger ring has a ridge top and bottom with an inscription between the two ridges. The inscription reads: +DAME IOHNE MYLBORNE, presumily originally belonging to the wife of John Mylborne. The finger ring has a width of 7.0 mm and the hoop is 1.5 mm thick. A complete gold and rock crystal finger ring, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD1700). The finger ring has a distorted hoop of 'D-shaped' section, widening from the back to the bezel. Each shoulder is decorated by three longitudinal V shaped grooves, the outer ones bend inwards just above a short horizontal groove. A short longitudinal groove is present just below this line. A Medieval finger-ring, iconographic in type, with a representation of the Virgin and Child on its octagonal bezel. The shoulders are decorated with sprigs of foliage and the hoop is slightly chamfered and decorated with a triangular area of cross-hatching at its widest points. The ring is gold and dates from the late fifteenth or early sixteenth centuries. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. Description: A late medieval gold finger-ring formed of a flat band and an oval bezel with a beaded border. The bezel was originally set with a stone which is now lost. A medieval finger ring formed of a thin, flat band which widens towards the bezel into the shape of two dragons' heads with bulbous eyes and large, pointed ears. There follows, between the dragons' heads and the bezel, an area of double banded decoration arranged asymmetrically, one plain and one cabled. The bezel is roughly square, inlaid with niello and decorated with a cross. The finger ring is silver and dates from the thirteenth century. A medieval gold finger ring of iconographic type. The curved rectangular bezel is engraved with a representation of the Trinity - the seated figure of Hod the father, supporting Christ on the cross, and with a dove in the top left corner, representing the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The figure of God has a halo. The shoulders of teh ring are engraved with suns rays. The hoop is beaded, and is now distorted. Tiny traces of white enamel survive in the desgin. The ring probably dates to the 15th Century. Diameter at the widest point: 23 mm.
