An incomplete, copper alloy, single-looped buckle dating to the period AD 1250-AD 1400.  Less than 25% of the buckle is present, consisting only of the outer edge. The sheet roller is still in situ. The buckle has a dark brown coloured patina. A parallel to this buckle is illustrated in Whitehead (2003) page 22, No. 86. This consists of a double loop with a narrowed strap bar, and angled outer edges. Angles present on the inner edges as well. Foliate decoration is present on the front. An incomplete strap plate from a buckle or clasp, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1500).  The strap plate is sub rectangular in plate, with a pointed terminal. The other end has been wrapped around a strap bar. Iron corrosion products partially obscure the end, but a rectangular notch is visible, presumably for a pin (now missing).
