A complete gilded silver composite dress hook. It consists of a back plate, sub triangular in shape, with saw-tooth edges. From each of the three corners of the backplate project three hemispherical domes.
Each dome is decorated with three filigree wire circles, two of these face away from the centre of the backplate; the one facing the centre is covered with a silver disc - a rove (see below). Small spherical knops are located above and below where the outward facing filigree circles meet.

Description: An incomplete gilded silver filigree dress hook, of 16th Century dating. The dress hook is a composite design, made up of a rectangular back plate, a basal hook and a domed rectangular body. The attachment loop is missing.
The rectangular back plate and basal hook are made from silver. The basal hook is soldered to the opposite side to where the attachment loop would be present. A rectangular slot is present instead. The long edges of the back plate have been indented to create a scalloped edge.

A complete gilded silver dress hook of sixteenth century AD dating (AD 1500 to AD 1600).
The dress hook has a single sharp pointed hook attached to the reverse of the plate. The hook has an 180 degree bend at the half way point. The plate is rectangular with circular knops on each corner and two circular knops on each side in between. There is a row of raised pellets around the edge of the plate, surrounding a central raised rectangular area with a probable enameled area in the centre. An incomplete gilded silver dress hook (hooked tag) of Early Post Medieval dating (16th Century).
The dress hook was originally made from three separate elements, soldered together. Two of those elements are currently present: The plate and the hook. The plate is lozenge (diamond) shaped, with raised decorations. In the centre is the letter 'S', and surrounding that is a border of raised pellets, irregularly spaced. A complete silver, probable dress hook, of probable Post medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1700).
The probable dress hook has a basic domed triangular shape, with half spheres located at each point. A second much smaller domed triangle is positioned centrally on the base or flat side of the first, and then the base extends into a rectangular eye. This eye measures 4.6 mm wide, internally it measures 2.8 mm wide by 1.4 mm long. The half spheres have a diameter of 3.7 mm.

The clasp consists of a two piece, possibly three piece cast composite hooked clasp. The front piece is circular in plan, with a sheet metal fitting for a gemstone, now missing. A complete cast silver hooked eye / dress hook, of probable Early Post Medieval dating (16th to 17th Centuries AD).
The hooked tag is irregular in plan, and section. It consists of the 'eye' section of a blunt hooked clasp and eye or dress hook. The 'eye' is complete, circular with a bevelled external edge. Six small circular attachment holes are present within the decorative plate. The reverse is flat and exhibits multiple file marks.
It measures 32.95 mm in length, 14.68 mm wide and 2.82 mm thick. It weighs 3.8 g.

An incomplete cast silver gilt cap badge / single sharp hooked clasp (dress hook), of Early Post Medieval dating (15th to 16th centuries AD).
The clasp consists of two elements soldered together: the decorated rose and the hook. The hook is incomplete and consists solely of a sub rectangular bar section soldered to the back of the decorative front element. The front has been decorated with a five petalled rose type flower.
It measures 11.17 mm in length, 10.95 mm wide and 2.96 mm thick. It weighs 1.2 grams.
