An unidentified wrought iron object of uncertain dating.
It is triangular in plan, and circular in cross section. It consists of a hollow cone shape, made from a sheet of iron wrapped together and then fixed.
It measures 62.77mm in length, 13.23mm diameter wide at the top, and 3.77mm diameter wide at the bottom. It weighs 20.5 grams.
It is a mid to dark brown colour, with an even surface patina. The iron oxide corrosion layer is flaking off in a couple of areas, revealing the dark brown of the underlying metal. These areas should be monitored carefully to prevent fu…

An incomplete wrought iron double pronged artefact, consisting of the tip of a flesh hook, of probable Roman dating (43 AD - 410 AD).
It is irregular in both plan and cross section. It consists of a slender iron rod, expanding at the base into a triangular shape, into two points extending out at right angles from the rod. It is uncertain whether the two points originally joined together to form a ring or whether they continued out straight to form hooks or not. The top of the rod demonstrates a slight curve in the same direction as the points at the base.
