A complete copper alloy artefact of uncertain function but probably Post Medieval in dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The artefact consists of a flat sheet metal loop, with ends secured through a square sheet metal plate. Each end has been folded back onto itself. One end has been squared off, the other is more triangular. The loop is no longer circular in shape, more sub oval.  It measures 26.8 mm in length, 30.3 mm wide and 5.9 mm thick. The loop is 1.4 mm thick. The square sheet piece measures 12.3 mm by 13.6 mm and is 1.8 mm thick. It weighs 5.0 g. The artefact is a dark green …

A complete copper alloy hooked strap fitting of probable post-medieval date (AD 1500 - AD 1700). The mount is asymmetrical with a fleur-de-lys or trefoil shape at the upper edge and a pair of rounded projections towards the base at the terminal where the integral hook extends. The front depicts a horse galloping left on a speckled background, with a pellet by the front leg and a pellet by the back leg. The horse's tail is held upwards. The reverse is concave and undecorated. It measures 30.0 mm wide, 18.6 mm in length and 4.8 mm thick. It weighs 7.9 g. The probable plaque is dark green in colour and has an even surface patina. This may be 18th century sword related.
