A complete flake from a prepared core of Late Neolithic to Early Iron Age dating (3300 BC to 1000 BC). The flake is sub rectangular in shape and a mid brown colour. Part of a striking platform is present at the top of the flake. Retouch is present along both edges and can be classified as short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt. It measures 40.6 mm in length, 24.9 mm maximum width, and 6.0 mm maximum thickness. It weighs 7.2 g. An incomplete worked flint borer, of Late Neolithic dating (2700 BC to c. 2350 BC). The borer is sub triangular in plan, with a semi circular cross section. It has been made from a piece of tertiary debitage as none of the original cortex is present. Both the dorsal and ventral surfaces display conchoidal ripples. The base of the borer has been deliberately broken at a diagonal. Retouch is present around the apex of the borer and can be classified as Short, Parallel, Semi-abrupt. The ventral (upper) surface demonstrates several longitudinal flake scars, along with a couple of lateral ones. A flake of tertiary debitage, dating from the Middle to Late Neolithic (c. 3000 BC - c. 2200 BC). The flake is sub oval in plan and oval in cross section. The ventral surface displays a couple of deliberately flake scars, and there is probable deliberate retouch around the edge. The flint is of a poor quality with several flaws, which resulted in hinge fracturing.
