Cast copper alloy spur rowel of Post-Medieval date. The rowel is in the form of a eight pointed star arranged around a central circular hole. The points are almost kite shaped in section: narrowest at the centre of the rowel then widening as they extend and terminating in tapering points from three quarters along the length. There are traces of gilding on the sides of the points and on both faces. The rowel measures 42.8mm in diametre, 6.6mm in thickness and weighs 28.52g.
