A copper alloy possible hooked fitting of probable Medieval to Post Medieval date. The fitting is has a flat plate at one end, It is roughly D shaped in plan with two indents on the straight side and rounded corners. From the centre of the curved side projects a narrower but thicker bar, oval in section. This bar begins to curve just before the broken end, possibly forming the beginning of the hook. The break is old and patinated. It measures 32.5mm in length, 13.9mm in width at the plate end and 5.0mm at the hooked end, 2.2mm in thickness and weighs 2.7g. It has been suggested that…
