Fragment of a wheel-thrown vessel dating to the Post Medieval period. The fragment forms most of the handle with some body sherd attached. It is of a hard orange-brown fabric with irregularly sorted, large rounded mica inclusions. The outer surfaces of the handle are slipped in white with the remains of a dark-gray glaze present in patches. The handle would have belonged to a pipkin, or cooking vessel. Dimensions: 123.8mm long, 23.9mm in width and weighs 95.29g.

A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel, dating to the Post Medieval period. The fragment is a salt-glazed body sherd with a hard and gritty light grey coloured stoneware fabric with no visible inclusions. The exterior surface is decorated with a dark reddish-brown slip with hand-applied decoration featuring two circumferential incisions and stamped four-petalled flowers. The interior appears burnished or clear-glazed. The fragment is 41.1mm long, 18.3mm wide, 7.9mm thick and weighs 7.3g. Salt-glazed stonewares really became popular in Britain from the early 17th Century onwards.…

Two fragments of Metropolitan slipware dating to the Post Medieval period (1630-1700 AD). The pieces comprise of a base sherd, probably from a dish or bowl and a body sherd from a different vessel. Both fragments have a trailed pattern of cream. The bowl fragment has a wavy line whilst the body sherd has a stright line with a pellet on either side.
