A lead alloy conical weight or possible gaming piece, of medieval date. The surface of the weight is divided into panels by raised ribs that are arranged in triangles and Xs. There is a hole in the apex, presumably for suspension, which suggests that this object is more likely to be a weight than a gaming piece. AD 1100-1500.

A probably medieval to post medieval round lead weight with a 5mm hole through the centre. This may be a net weight for fishing or hunting, however attributing such an undiagnostic artefact to a period without context is difficult.

A Post Medieval copper alloy weight with a crown over a lombardic 'h' on the obverse; possibly Henry VII to VIII. The Obverse has two circular inscribed lines with a central indentation. Within the outer and inner circles is an h with a crown above it. The Reverse has a series of circles, at least 4 of which are easily recognisable. There are other marks but these may be through damage rather than part of any design. The Lombardic 'h' was a mark instituted by Henry VII in AD 1495 and lasted into the reign of his son, Henry VIII (Biggs 1992:48).

An incomplete Roman lead alloy biconical steelyard weight. The weight is bi-conical and broken in half. There is no sign of the iron shank through the central hole. The hole appears to go right through the weight suggesting it had a wire loop through each apex. This would have been used on a typical form of steelyard in the NW provinces (See Franken, N. 1993)
