An incomplete, copper alloy strap end of 'crescentic' type and Medieval in date (c. AD 1400-1500). The terminal, shaped like a scallop, rounded with nine lobes radiating from the centre of the shell, and only a small portion of the crescentic attachment end has survived. Above the scallop motif are two circular rivet holes still containing part of the rivets.
