A flint flake that has been retouched for use, but which is not a recognised tool form. It dates from the Mesolithic or Neolithic periods. Although the shape is somewhat similar to a leaf shaped arrowhead, the flake is too thick, and the working is not sufficiently invasive. The flint is light grey in colour with black specks and the start of some patination. It has a length of 23.14mm, width 17.97mm, thickness 5.03mm, weight 2.40g.

A lead alloy shield shaped trade weight dating from the Medieval period. It is decorated with a double fleur de lis on the top. It was a 1oz weight originally, but it has since lost a little mass. The lead is light brown in colour. It has a length of 33.17mm, width 25.10mm, thickness 5.63mm, weight 25.61g or 0.9oz. A similar example is YORYM-03B706 on the PAS database. See also number 113 on page 42 of Lead Weights by Biggs and Withers. The weight probably dates from 1150 - 1500.

A copper alloy shield shaped harness pendant dating from the Medieval period. The front of the shield is decorated with a transverse rectangular section at the top which is divided with a vertical line into two. In each section is a six pointed star with a small circle in the middle of it (a pierced mullet). There are tiny traces of red enamel in the background of the squares. A corroded iron spoon bowl probably dating from the 19th century. The bowl is quite large and has rounded shoulders and a pointed tip which is broken. None of the stem survives, but it extended flat from the bowl, without a step or rat-tail join of any kind. It has a length of 86.84mm, width 59.68mm, thickness 6.16mm, weight 29.26g.

An incomplete pewter spoon probably dating from the Post Medieval period, 18th century. The bowl is complete and oval shaped. A small part of the stem survives. It is sub triangular in section and has a square step on the reverse of the bowl where the stem meets the bowl. It has a length of 68.37mm, width 30.35mm, thickness 8.83mm, weight 8.51g. A white metal comb (aluminium?) dating from the Modern period, 19th – 20th century. The handle is half oval shaped with triangular teeth, some of which are missing. It has a length of 82.85mm, width 42.12mm, thickness 8.61mm, weight 19.95g. NCL-CFCD90 is a lead alloy comb of unknown date, which has some similarities, but which is more crude. This example is presumably for grooming animals.
