A copper alloy countersink tool with a wooden handle. This tool probably dates from the Modern period, perhaps 1800 - 1950. The main body of the auger is made from copper alloy with an iron core at the cutting end. The cutting face is circular with four teeth. The cutting end is bulbous and tapers back along the shaft which is circular in section. The iron is only present in the bulbous area. Just before the tang, the shaft flares again slightly. A square copper alloy coin weight, probably for a Hungarian dukat and dating from the 16th or 17th century. It has a length of 14.10mm, width 14.08mm, thickness 2.09mm, weight 3.04g. It is uniface and probably depicts St Ladislaus with an orb and a long axe. The coin should weigh 3.5g, but corrosion and wear could have reduced the mass of the coin weight. One pieces from a copper alloy hook and eye dress fastener, dating from the 17th century. The mount is an oval plate with three projecting knops that each have a hole through them. A wide flat hook with the bent part broken off projects from one end. The plate is decorated with punched circles around the edges and a fleur-de-lys in the centre. A copper alloy snake form belt fastener dating from the 16th century. The head of the snake is clear as are the scales, which are oval on the upper face, and transverse rounded rectangles on the lower face. It has a light green/brown patina and was once gilded, though only minute fragments of this survive. It has a length of 43.82mm, width 10.19mm, thickness 4.38mm, weight 12.61g. The coin is very small and worn and is on a small flan, but it is probably a unit rather than a fractional unit. It has a diameter of 12.96mm, thickness 1.41mm, weight 1.06g. A group of lead alloy musket and pistol shot, seven in total. They range in diameter from 9.5 to 17.5mm and in weight from 4.8 to 27.5gm. Total weight is 91.42gm. Similar shot have been dated to the later post medieval period however the date range should extend into the early modern period as similar projectiles were used in firearms throughout this period. Musket balls are discussed in Courtney's "Small Arms Accessories of the Mid-Seventeenth Century" (1988) and on page 202 of "Material Culture in London in an Age of Transition" by Geoff Egan (2005). A lead allow powder flask cap dating from the post Medieval period, probably the 17th century. It is a small circular vessel with a circular base and straight sides. Two small rounded perforated handles project from the sides at the base, from which it would have been attached to strings allowing the cop to be removed from the powder flask without becoming lost. A circular lead alloy papal bulla. One side has the inscription: "INNO/CENTIVS / PP III" indicating that this seal was on a document issued by Pope Innocent III, who held office in1198-1216. PP stands for 'Pastor Pastorum' or 'Shepherd of Shepherds'. The other side has the letters: "SPA [SPE]" at the top for St Paul and St Peter and depictions of the two saints facing each other below.
