An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy Colchester-derivative two-piece bow brooch (1st century AD). The find consists of an almost complete Colchester-derivative brooch; only the tip of the pin, and the base of the foot and catchplate are missing. The brooch has a plate at the back of the head which is pierced twice; the axis bar for the spring passes through the lower hole and the external chord through the upper hole. The cast copper alloy cosmetic mortar has an oval section and a slight curve throughout its length; there is a deep recession in its upper edge, inset only slightly from each end of the object. A complete Early-Medieval copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount (11th or early 12th century). The mount belongs to Williams's Class A, Type 13 (Williams 1997). It is lozenge-shaped and has a rectangular cross-section. From the uppermost point of the plate projects a smaller lozenge that has been pierced with a central circular rivet hole. This would have served to attach the mount to a leather strap. A Roman copper alloy prick spur or "rivet spur", iron goad missing, dating 3rd - 4th century AD. Only one side is complete, the other side is broken and the terminal is missing. The surviving side has an irregular hexagonal cross-section which becomes rectangular at a ribbed and cusped moulding before a disc terminal pierced in the centre by an iron-filled hole.
