A Post Medieval cast copper alloy sword-belt mount with iron rivets (16th century). The find consists of the eye-section of a two-piece copper alloy sword-belt clasp and would have been used with a corresponding hook-section of similar design. The mount has a D-shaped section with a flat back. The plate is sub-rectangular in plan, even slightly shield-shaped, with a stylised three-lobed upper edge. A complete Post Medieval lead alloy and copper alloy two-piece single sharp-hooked clasp (16th century). The single sharp-hooked clasp belongs to Read's (2008) Class D Type 6 because it is trefoil in plan. The clasp has been cast in lead alloy and comprises of three solid domed bosses surrounded by a projecting beaded border. In the centre of the clasp, in the space between the three large bosses, are arranged a further four small domed bosses, with three grouped around a central one.
