A fragment of a lead alloy toy gun of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The gun or petronel consists of a cylindral barrel and the butt, trigger and trigger guard are missing. Scroll decoration is present on the barrel. The length is 40mm, the width is 15mm and the weight 14.85g.

A late Medieval to Post Medieval undecorated lead alloy vessel or container, dating from c. AD 1450 - 1700. The vessel is D-shaped in section; being rounded at the front and flat at the back. The vessel is open at the top, and the sides taper towards the closed end. There are no attachment holes or rivets visible, suggesting that the vessel stood on its own rather than being attached to a wall. An incomplete Elizabethan two part lead cloth seal dating to c.1533-1603AD. The front is decrated with a crowned head with the initials ER at either side. The double-headed eagle is the symbol of the Hanseatic Clothworkers Guild, but its use on seals does not necessarily imply that this is a continental seal, according to Egan (1995) p.116. The Hanseatic organisation had outstations in Ipswich and London. The diameter is 15mm and the weight 2.19g.
Alnage seals indicated the cloth had been checked for quality by a Crown official and that the subsidy (tax) had been paid.

An incomplete lead or lead alloy possible Fishing weight or plumb bob, of probable Medieval dating (12th to 16th Centuries AD). The weight is a flattened spherical pointed oval shape, decorated with two incised lines on either side. An incomplete integral circular perforation (suspension loop) is present at one of the pointed ends. There appear to be traces of lettering possibly an 'E' and an 'A'. It is probably a trade weight used for mercantile activities (Gordon Bailey Detector Finds 2 (2001) p.29). The object has been pierced possibly for a suspension loop. The diameter is 57mm and the weight 105.65g.

A cast lead musket ball, of post-Medieval date, about AD 1600 - 1800. The remains of a circular casting sprue can be seen and, on the opposite hemisphere to the sprue is a circumferential groove, possibly a casting flaw. It is 12.3mm in diameter and weighs 8.69gm, suggesting that it was intended for use in a pistol (Harding D F, 2012, Lead Shot of the English Civil War). It could also be one sphere from a dumbell shot. The diameter is 12mm and the weight 7.42g.

An incomplete copper alloy strap end with zoomorphic decoration Late Early Medieval - c. 850 to 1000AD. Probably a Thomas Class B, type 4 strap end tapering to the broken terminal. There is a split plate at the attachment end with two circular rivet holes at the rounded corners. The mid-section of the front of the plate is decorated on the front face with moulded zoomorphic heads decoration. The rear of the plate is flat and there is a transverse ridge where the split plate begins.
