Copper alloy possible furniture fitting: object in the form of an elaborately abstracted acorn with hole in base filled with a round-sectioned rod secured by silvery solder. Most of the rod is missing. Perhaps the terminal of a drop handle, cf. a cast in one example from Verulamium (Waugh and Goodburn in Frere 1972, fig. 38 no. 113). 1st - 4th century.

Roman copper alloy headstud brooch, hinged pin, rear part of head, riveted headstud and small parts of the catchplate missing. Top of crest or rib above head decorated with engraved ladder pattern. On both wings three lozengiform cells of blue enamel between two sets of four triangular cells of red enamel. The D-sectioned bow is similarly decorated with fourteen lozenges and two rows of fifteen triangles. The foot consists of transverse mouldings with a row of fine vertical engraved lines. Enamel inlay on the underside of the foot is missing. Wingspan 17.5mm. Length 38mm. c.75 - c.200 AD.

Very unusual book mount or clasp, but without hook. It has a very slightly flaring 'fishtail' end, and opposed rectangular projections at the other end. This end would usually have a projecting broad blunt hook, but there is no trace of one here.
The rectangular area formed from the opposed rectangular projections is decorated with a longitudinal rib (transverse to the long axis of the entire fitting), which is decorated with oblique grooves. Fragment of bow brooch consisting of most of the bow, of flattened D-section. A rectangular panel survives at one end with engraved transverse grooves; there are also traces of longitudinal median grooves, 15 x 24mm. The width suggests that it is probably a cruciform brooch rather than a small-long. Ancient breaks.

Limoges gilt and enamelled furniture mount, probably from a coffret (small chest), very corroded with traces of champlevé enamel and gilding. The mount is circular (diameter 53mm, 1mm thick) with three perforations for attachment around the outer edge. The decoration comprises the standing figure of Samson straddling a lion passant to dexter and pulling back the lions head with both hands, the identifying characteristic of the male figure of Samson is the long wavy locks of his hair falling behind his head and back. Unusual copper alloy hinge-headed enamelled brooch, head with axis bar and corroded pin, at the base of the head and the top of the foot there are groups of transverse rib and groove mouldings. The sub-rectangular bow is divided into two by a horizontal groove and both panels both with four enamelled cells, the upper four with traces of red enamel, the lower four with discoloured greenish red enamel, semi-circular button at foot, slightly squashed catch-plate on reverse. Fragment of footplate from a copper-alloy narrow cruciform brooch. The fragment is worn and the break is ancient. The animal-head terminal is narrow and elongated with a prominent brow, and there is an incomplete catch-plate on the reverse. Surviving dimensions, 8mm wide and 45mm long. It dates to the early 5th century.

Copper alloy finger ring, bent and distorted, flat-sectioned bezel, decorated with six ring-and-dots, which tapers smoothly to become the band, the ends of which are wound around each other. Incomplete copper-alloy strap-end made from very worn and corroded purplish metal. It has a rectangular split end with two rivet holes, and the broken remains of a tongue-shaped openwork body, making it an example of Thomas's (2004) Class E Type 1. The decoration comprises a central calyx and flanking tendrils; part of the sides and the terminal are missing. Surviving length 34mm, surviving width 19mm. Thickness 4mm. 10th century.

Very unusual copper alloy probable pottery stamp, cast circular-sectioned body (length 14mm diameter 7mm) with deeply filed cross in one end, narrowed circular-sectioned shank projects from other end and tapers slightly to a rounded terminal. Total length 41mm, diameter of shank 3mm. The depth and the relative bluntness of the terminal suggests that this is not a leatherworking tool. The form of impression is commonly found on 5th/6th-century pottery, e.g. Spong Hill Type 1a (EAA 6, fig.98)
