A worn post medieval copper-alloy strap fitting with two attachment spikes. The body of the mount is an elongated triangle with a rounded knop instead of a point. On the shortest edge is a tri-lobed knop, which could be a crown or a fleur-de-lis. The outer lobes have been bent backwards, and the tip of the central knop has possibly broken off. On the triangular body of the mount has incised lines creating arrows pointing towards the tri-lobed terminal. No other decoration is visable. On the reverse, there is an attachment spike (c. 9mm long)just to the central of the rounded knop term…

A worn and corroded medieval to post medieval cast copper alloy cooking vessel foot, triangular in section and with a rounded base. Although crudely cast and now corroded, there is the suggestion of a collar on the two smaller faces of the leg, near the top. The attachment end (top) of the foot has a rough and uneven break. The foot is a red-brown colour with patches of a dark green patina. Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from c.1250-1650 for serving and cooking. It measures 44.1mm x 27.8mm x 16.8mm, and weighs 81g.

A Post-Medieval cast copper alloy openwork hooked tag; Read class E, type 5 (2001 110, ref. 436). The tag is a Hungerford knot with pellets on each cord terminal, which are joined by a bar to form a trapezoidal attachment loop. Projecting from the largest loop of the knot is a long narrow hook. The tag has been miscast and left unfinished, as one of the knot loops is still filled with copper alloy, where as the others are openwork (and the ones pictured in Read are all also openwork). An incomplete medieval copper alloy composite strap end. One of the plates is missing, revealing the inner forked spacer still attached to the other plate. The remaining plate is undecorated. At one end the strap end curves inwards to a point (the tip of which has broken off the plate but remains on the spacer). At the opposite end the plate has broken or worn away to a rough diagonal, with the spacer protruding beyond. An incomplete post medieval copper alloy sword belt fitting. The object is roughly foliate in form, with incised decoration forming a leaf pattern. It has a trefoil shaped terminal at one end and would have had a hook at the other but this is now missing. There are two circular fixing holes one near the trefoil terminal and one visible in the break, which would have been above the hook. This would have been one of two or three fittings that together formed a hanging arrangement for a sword, date 16th-17th century. It measures 29.2mm and weighs 4.8g

An incomplete post medieval sub-ovoid hooked tag, with the tag or attachment loop missing. The body of the tag has foliate decoration on the front and is plain on the reverse. On three sides are round attachment knops with punched holes. On the flat edge is the break from the hook or rectangular loop. Read has categorised similar hooked tags as class A type 2, and dates them to the late 16th to 17th century (2007, 165 & 171). This example is covered in a dark green patina and measures 30.7mm x 28mm x 2mm, and weighs 4.8g

An incomplete post medieval double loop rectangular buckle frame with notched outer edges. One loop has broken off, at the top on the outer corner and on the bottom after the pin bar. On the opposite outer edge are five grooves or notches. The pin bar is narrowed and recessed, the pin is missing. The buckle is covered in a light green patina, and has been bent so the outer edges are pushed forward. Double loop buckles date to c. 16th century. It measures 20.5mm x 19mm, and weighs 1.7g.

A corroded medieval to post medieval tinned cast copper alloy circular domed stud. The body of the mount is a hollow dome, plain on both faces apart from patches of tinning. On the reverse there is a centrally placed spike for attachment; the stud was cast as one piece, not two. The mount is covered in a dark green patina, with patches of red-brown corrosion.
