A carinated body sherd from a Roman Oxfordshire colour-coated ware vessel (mid to late 4th century AD). The fragment is an irregular five-sided shape. The internal and external surface is an oxidised orange, and the cross-section shows the core is grey with no visible inclusions. The external surface is decorated with a rouletted linear pattern and a pattern of demi-rosettes. The internal surface has white staining. This sherd can be classified as Young's (1977, 169-170) type C83.

It is attributed to the mid to late second century AD. There is a dark orange slip on both the internal and external surfaces. This sherd can be classifed as a Dragendorff form 38 (cf. Webster 1996, 49).

A complete post medieval pipe clay wig curler. It is cylindrical a narrowed centre (14.0mm diameter), which then flares out to rounded sections (19.5mm in diameter) which then taper to flattened circular ends(11.5mm diameter). On the flat circular face are the same stamped initials (W.B) but on one end the b has only been lightly stamped and has now almost worn away. The curler is cream with patches of orange discolouration. It measures 75mm in length and weighs 25.72g. This style of wig curler dates from the 17th to 18th century AD.

An incomplete medieval - early post medieval glazed ceramic floor tile from the Low Counties (also known as 'Flemish' tiles) dating early 14th - 16th century. It is a piece of dutch redware and contains part of the base and side of the vessel, and a small leg for balance created by the potter's thumb. Both faces are undecorated. The fragment measures 75.3mm (height) x 125.1mm (length) x 58.5mm (width) x 13.3mm (max. thickness) and weighs 120.75g. Dutch redware was made in the low countries in the sixteenth century.

The fragment contains at least 8 layers of stacked clay pipe, which are stacked so that the layer above is stacked at a right angle to the one below, creating a cross-hatched effect. They are held in place with a form of grey cement. On one face, which would have been the internal face of the kiln, the cement has vitrified, which has created a layer of purple-grey glassy glaze. A very worn and rounded fragment of polychrome delft wall tile. The fragment has a glazed design on one face, with the top of a blue and orange fleur-de-lis surrounded by green foliage. The fragment is approximately half of its originally thickness, and this combined with the very rounded edges suggested it may have been re-used, perhaps as a rubbing stone. The fragment measures 64.3mm ( length) x 43.7mm (width) x 10.6mm (thickness) and weighs 23.74g. Polychrome delft tiles date to the early 17th century and this example was probably made in London.
