A medieval cast copper alloy composite strap end with solid sheet spacer. The strap end consists of two plates separated by a solid spacer for approximately one-third of the length. The plates and spacer are held together by an in situ copper alloy rivet (which is the same colour as the plates, indicating a similar or identical alloy was used).
