A fragment of a copper-alloy early medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) strap end with inlaid niello and silver wire decoration. Only the lower zoomorphic terminal end survives. The outer face of the terminal has moulded, C-shaped 'ears' curving inwards to either side of its inner end and an inwards cuving, blunt snout, but few other visible features. The pendant is shaped like an eagle, wings folded and head turned left, although is now heavily corroded obscuring much of the details.
