An incomplete copper-alloy finger ring of Roman date, c.AD 43 - 300. Guiraud type 2a. Henig type III.
The bezel of the finger ring is ovate with a recessed upper surface which is now empty. To either side of the bezel the ovate sectioned shoulders narrow into a circular sectioned hoop. Both arms terminate in worn breaks.
The metal has a dark grey/green patina and is worn. The finger ring is 21.6mm long, 10.9mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 3.9g.

A complete though damaged silver finger ring of modern date, c.AD 1800 – 1950.
The finger ring comprises a circular hoop with sides which expand smoothly to a rectangular bezel. The hoop is D-shaped in section, the bezel has a thin rectangular section.
The bezel is incised with the initials FWD. The W is slightly smaller than the other letters and overlays the back of the D. A complete copper-alloy signet type finger ring of Post-Medieval date, c. AD 1400 - 1600.
The bezel is lozenge-shaped with a sub-rectangular section. The upper surface bears an incised design, possibly a swan, within a zig-zag border. The shoulders extend to either side of the bezel into the D-sectioned hoop.
The metal has a dark green/brown patina and is worn. The finger ring is 26.7mm long, 27.3mm in diameter, 15.1mm wide, 5.1mm thick and weighs 10.4g.

A complete gold finger ring of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1750 - 1950.
The object is circular with a thick D-shaped section. No decoration or hallmarks are present and there are two nick marks to the edge.
The metal has a shiny yellow patina and is in good condition. The ring is 25.4mm in diameter, 5.6mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 11.8g.
The finger ring has been seen by curators at the British Museum who state that, due to the undiagnostic nature of the object it cannot be securely dated and, as such, would fall outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

The finger ring comprises a circular hoop, widest at the bezel, tapering to the narrowest point at the other side. The section tapers from D-shaped at the bezel to ovate.
An ovate gem is set within the bezel. It is raised with sides which slope outward to where it sits. The gem is incised with a running quadruped, possibly a lion or dog.

The finger ring comprises a raised rectangular bezel within a double grooved border. The hoop extends to either side of the bezel, widening slightly and terminating in worn breaks. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a dark brown patina and is worn. The finger ring is 18mm long, 10.7mm wide, 4.4mm thick and weighs 2.7g.
This integral cast bezel is intended to mimic the traditional glass or gem intaglio.

The bezel is octagonal to the outer edge and ovate to the inner edge which is recessed. No setting remains within the recess and a small ovate perforation is present which is worn. The reverse of the bezel is flat and undecorated. Rectangular ribbed shoulders are present to either side of the bezel.
