A copper alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to the early-medieval date, c.AD 750 - 850. The strap end is of Thomas' Class B, Type 4 with zoomorphic terminal and multi-headed decoration. The strap-end is made from a solid piece of copper alloy which has been split at the butt end for attachment. The split end is incomplete terminating with a break and with one half missing. It is sub-triangular in shape with two relief-moulded confronting zoomorphic heads on the body as well as the zoomorphic terminal. An incomplete copper alloy Roman headstud brooch (AD c. 75 - c. 200). The head of the brooch consists of two rectangular wings, decorated with two lozenges (one above the other) on each wing. The bow tapers in width tapering in an ancient break above the foot, and has a circular, ring-and-dot 'headstud' moulding at the apex of the bow. The recess between the central dot and the ring may have once held enamel. The bow of the brooch is decorated with a series of central lozenge shaped cells. A copper alloy early Post-Medieval dress hook of Read's Class E, Type 6, quatrefoil. The object has been cast in one piece in moulded-relief and openwork. The frame is in the form of quatrefoil 'knot' with five raised pellets. The outer frame is decorated with grooves. Where the object extends to form the rearward facing hook is a triple ribbed collar. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, Polden Hill brooch, see Mackreth 2011, Chapter 3, Part 3, CD PH 4. a-b. The head of the brooch arched curving downwards and tapering towards the rounded foot. The wings of the brooch are tubular and capped at each end. A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object is U-shaped in plan with zoomorphic duck or bird terminals. Extending down from the centre of the object is a circular-sectioned shaft, measuring 3mm thick, which appears to be hollow and is soil filled. The birds are each identical with open mouths and rounded beaks and circular annulet eyes. At the top of each head is an undulating raised ridge.
