An incomplete medieval copper alloy rotary key. The key handle (bow) is in the shape of a flat lozenge with four circular perforations. The upper point of the lozenge is surmounted with a, squat cylindrical terminal which is D-shaped in cross-section. Two incomplete piercings or perforations are on the base of the terminal. Each side of the handle has a flattened trapezoidal projection. A copper alloy dolphin brooch. The wings are tubular and D-shaped in cross-section. The head of the brooch rises up from the wings and tapers downwards forming the bow of the object, terminating with a break just above the foot. The top section of the pin is still present, and held in place by an axis bar, enclosed in casing. The bow is decorated with a moulded vertical central rib and two remaining patches of bright orange enamel. The tip of the foot of the brooch and the catchplate are missing. The object has a light-green patina and is in fair condition.

Treasure Case 2017 T524: Description: An incomplete Roman silver-gilt bow brooch of Polden Hill type. The surviving part comprises the wings and upper part of the bow, with housing for the spring (now missing). A post-medieval (1500-1700) strap fitting (belt mount): The copper alloy strap fitting is lozenge shaped in plan . The underside of the mount has two oval sectioned inward facing integral studs or lugs. These studs would pass through the strap leather and hold the fitting in place. In the centre of the rear of the brooch is a circular depression which may have held a central boss in place on the outer face. A complete copper-alloy toggle of late Iron Age to Roman date, c. 100 BC - AD 100. The toggle is of the dumbell type comprising two globular hemispherical terminals joined by a central shaft. An incomplete, cast, copper-alloy casket key of Medieval date, (AD 1100-1500). The key has a hollow, circular shank with an oval-shaped bow containing four circular holes. The holes measure 3.5mm in diameter. The outer edge of the bow is notched resulting in a stepped terminal with a sub-rectangular perforation in the centre. An incomplete lead alloy probable medieval pilgrim's ampulla, dating from c. AD 1350-1530. The bowl is semi-circular in plan and the neck is incomplete having been broken and folded over onto the bowl. There is no visible decoration on either face of the object and the handles are missing. This object was discovered approx. 50 meters from a second ampulla recorded as LVPL-13D8C2. Dimensions: 35mm in length, 37mm in width, 4mm thick, 49.8g More complete examples which can be found on the PAS database are LVPL-1FDCFB, LVPL-94BAA3, LIN-D68810 and LIN-25E422.

An incomplete lead alloy medieval pilgrim's ampulla, dating from c. AD 1350-1530. The bowl is semi-circular in plan and the neck is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The flask is decorated on one each face. In the centre of the body on one face is a crown with a central lis and two half-lis at either end. The crown is double banded and sits above what may be a capital 'T' in Lombardic style, probably to signify St Thomas of Canterbury.
