A complete cast copper alloy Roman toilet tool or other personal implement of uncertain use, dating to the period AD 43-409. The tool can be divided into two sections; the upper section has a flat elongated plain panel with a suspension loop set perpendicular to the panel. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill, Mackreth 2011, CD PH 8, dating to the 1st - late 3rd century AD. The pin, spring, most of the catchplate and knoped foot terminal of the brooch are broken and missing. This brooch belongs to the 'sawfish' family of T-shaped brooches, so named becuase of the serrated edges of the bow. The teeth only extend a short way down the middle of the bow. An incomplete copper-alloy zoomorphic plate brooch of Roman date, 2nd century AD. This plate brooch resembles a fish in its current incomplete state however the brooch was originally intened to be in the form of a bird with the head protruding up from the body. The head has broken off of this brooch and the scar where this break occured is visible. The central body of the bird is recessed and it is presumed to have originally have been filled with enamel, now missing. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting or harness mount of medieval date. The fitting is rectangular in plan and plano-convex in cross section. The upper surface fo the mount is decorated with recessed triangular cells which retain their gilding. The are arranged point-to-point towards the centre of the longitudinal ridge of the mount. On the underside of the mount is the remains of an integrally cast attachment shank. Suggested date AD 1300-1500.

A complete cast copper alloy hair or dress pin of Roman date (AD 43-409). The pin has a biconical head with very worn, faceted hemispheres. The lower hemipshere narrowes to the same thickness as the pin shank and the two are separated by a raised circumferential collar. The shank of the pin is now bent with two almost right angled bends evident, in the same fashion as another Roman pin found nearby (see OXON-2AC55D). The shank narrows slowly towards an old break.

A complete cast copper alloy hair or dress pin of middle Anglo-Saxon date (AD 700-800). The pin has a biconical head, more rounded on the upper half and more conical on the lower hemisphere, narrowing into the circular-section shaft; this head shape is sometimes called 'balloon-shaped'. The head and shaft are separated by a raised circumferential collar. The shaft of the pin is now bent, with two almost right-angled bends, in the same fashion as a Roman pin found nearby (see OXON-2AD3B5). The shaft narrows towards the tip of the pin, the very end of which is missing.

A complete cast copper alloy slide key for a slide lock / padlock of probable late early-medieval to medieval date (c. AD 900-1300). The key has a sub-rectangular shaft with bevelled edge and a double collar towards the bit. The bit is a reversed 'D' with T-shaped aperture within and a T-shaped projection on the outer edge. An incomplete medieval buckle consisting of only the buckle plate. The plate is formed from a single piece of sheet copper alloy folded in half - the fold would have looped around the buckle frame. A strap would have been inserted into the void between the plates and secured by a single copper alloy rivet, which is extant. Both surfaces of the plate have scrolled / swirling decoration, possibly floral, and have also been gilded, much of which survives. Suggested date AD 1250-1400.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy medieval strap end dating to c. AD 1390-1420. The strap end is also known as a box chape; it is of the 'lyre shaped' group as found at Meols (Griffiths et. al. 2007, Pl. 17, No. 765). The strap was fitted into the square socket through which are two rivets. On one face of the box is an incised floral design, while the other side is undecorated. The fragment is one leg of the vessel - the leg is plano-convex in section at the broken edge, and expands from the break to the foot pad. A fragment of a polished flint axehead dating to the Neolithic period (c. 4000-2500 BC). The axehead has been very badly damaged, with mechanical damage evident. The remains of the axe comprises most of the cutting edge, which is beautifully polished and still sharp, and also a length of either the dorsal or ventral side. The breaks are jagged and sharp.

A near-complete cast copper alloy dress hook of early Post-Medieval date, c. AD 1500 - 1700. The dress hook is of Read's Class E, Type 3 being circular in plan and with a rectangular attachment loop. The body of the dress hook has a central cross while each quarter has an openwork trefoil or quatrefoil, some now very worn. The hook is missing. Read (2008) number 370-371 on page 99 for parallels.
