One face has a simple unadorned long cross, akin to Alvey - Powell type 14 classification, the other has irregular geometric lines. The surface has the typical lead oxidation with a pale grey patina. A cast copper alloy rose buckle of late Medieval to early Post-Medieval c. AD1450 - 1550. Sub circular in form with a trapezoidal cross section. The buckle is formed as a five petal rose. Each petal is defined by a curvy linear cast line containing hatched radial lines to further detail the petal form. The surface has a mid-green patina. See Whitehead (26) p.47, nos.273-274. Measurements - 28.77mm, width = 27.33mm, thickness = 2.74mm, weight = 7.3gm.

A fragment of a small copper alloy cast buckle c. AD 1600 - 1700. With a trapezoidal cross section, the remnant is a simple 'D' plain shaped loop with knops at the corners of the frame and, at each end of the cross bar. One half of the frame is missing. The surface has a mid-green pitted patina. See Marshalls Buckles Through the Ages Fig 8 Type IIB-7. Measurements - 18.04mm, width = 18.4mm, thickness = 1.62mm, weight = 1.5gm.

A small cast copper alloy asymmetrical double loop buckle c. AD 1450 - 1700. The buckle is undecorated with a flattened 'D' cross section. One loop is angular forming a point at to one end, the other loop is 'D' shaped. The cross bar extends to a knop at each end. Possible associated with either spur or knee buckle. The surface has a dark green patina. See R Whitehead - 324- 325. Measurements - 25.36mm, width = 18.26mm, thickness = 1.11mm, weight = 2.0gm.

The cross section is trapezoidal, and the surface is decorated by irregular incised groves, with a clear pin rest to the rounded end. The cross bar has a bifurcated pin remnant in situ. The surface has a dark green patina with a modest remnant of what might be gilding on one arm of the frame. See Marshalls Buckles Through the Ages Part 8 Type IIB-5. Measurements - 30.22mm, width = 22.24mm, thickness = 1.54mm, weight = 4.4gm.

A milled tin farthing of Charles II (c. AD 1660 - 1685), possibly minted between 1684-1685. Obverse with laureate and cuirassed bust of Charles II left. Reverse with Britannia, seated on globe with shield, facing left, holding spray and spear. The centre has the copper plug intact. An example of triple fused spherical lead shot, typical of case shot, used during the English Civil War, c. AD 1642 - 1651. In this example, lead shot of musket calibre is distorted, as a result of firing, into roughly polygonal forms with variable facets. A single spherical lead shot possibly associated with a flintlock pistol c. AD 1600 - 1700. This example has a distinctive flattened 'banding' mark around the circumference. Banding can be described as the most distinctive firing mark where the bullet is flattened in a band around the circumference of the shot. Normally due to it having been a tight fit in the barrel.
