Roman copper alloy bridge type brooch with traces of enamel, c.2nd century AD. The brooch measures 36mm in length and is 12mm wide, weighing 6.26g. The brooch consists of a wide highly arched bow inbetween two thin, vertical terminals. It has a raised enamelled rectangular panel which has 8 circular holes in two rows, 2 above and one below of which contain orange enamel. The panel is surrounded by beaded borders. On the reverse of the brooch there is a spring and pin mechanism however the pin is missing. The catchplate extends back by 5mm. See Hattatt, 1989, pg 353, no. …

Medieval copper alloy plain double oval framed buckle, c. mid 13th century -15th century AD. The buckle measures 21mm in length, 17mm wide and weighs 1.85g. The frame is plain with a few small traces of corrosion present. The sheet metal pin is folded round the narrow bar although is slightly bent out of shape. Post Medieval copper alloy tinned quatrefoil mount, c. 16th-17th century AD. The mount measures 15mm in diameter and weighs 1.79g. It comprises a four-petalled rose with a smaller four petalled rose as the centre. The remains of a tinned surface are present on each of the larger petals. On the reverse are two integral fixing-spikes, one bent towards the outer edge of the mount.

The fitting still has two iron rivets present, one beneath the other, which are corroded. It is plain and forms an 'M' shape at the top narrowing down to the hook to form a 'V' shape overall.

Medieval/ Post Medieval copper alloy rim fragment from a cooking vessel, c.12th-18th century AD. The fragment measures 39mm in length and is 40mm wide, weighing 29.52g. The fragment forms part of the top edge of a cooking pot, which has evidence of sooting on the outer edge. The top of the fragment has a ridge which leans diagonally away from the inner edge fractionally. The inner side of the fragment is lighter in colour. The fragment is roughly triangular in shape.

Post Medieval copper alloy rowel spur fragment, c. 17th century AD. The spur measures 72mm in length, 24mm at its widest part and weighs 12.66g. The spur fragment consists of one long lozenge shape measuring 57mm, followed by a diagonal lozenge shape measuring 13mm and then finally the terminal comprised of 3 circular holes, the central one being smaller than the outer ones. The outer facing edge of the spur has a single incised line wherever there is a corner in the shape of the spur. See Read, 2001, pg 60 and 65, no. 501.

Medieval single oval frame copper alloy buckle, c. 12th-14th century AD. The buckle measures 28mm in length and is 23mm wide, weighing 6.06g. The frame is a single ornate frame with a knop on each of the outer corners. The sheet metal pin is folded around the narrow bar and rests on a central rectangular sections inbetween the knops opposite the bar. Either side of the rectangular section is a horizontal raised line. The reverse of the buckle is decorated the same way. See Egan and Pritchard, 1991, pg 73, no. 301 for comparison.

Either side of the longest edge of the bottom hole are two incised lines measuring 5mm in length. Around the outer sides of the weight there are a number of roughly incised lines.

Roman copper alloy T-shape brooch, missing the pin, c.1st-2nd century AD. The brooch measures 36mm in length and is 18mm wide, weighing 5.4g. It has a spring and pin mechanism, however, the pin is missing. The wings are semi-circular and plain. There is a moulded ridge at the top which has a vertical incised line running either side of it. This is then followed by a central line of rocker-arm decoration which is slightly raised. This goes all the way to the foot of the brooch. The reverse of the brooch is plain and the catchplate extends away from the bow by 8mm.

Roman copper alloy, gilded, plate brooch, c. 2nd-3rd century AD. The brooch measures 22mm in diameter and weighs 5.9g. The brooch is a gilded Glass Centre-Boss type similar to Hattatt, 1989, pg 364, no. 1214. It has a gilded outer ring which has rocker-arm decoration around the edge, however, this is quite faint. The inner cell is empty but it does have a central concave circle surrounded by a raised circular band which would have been underneath the glass boss. The reverse of the brooch is plain, with the hinge and a small section fo the catchplate present, however, no pin.

It has thin, tubular wings which have an incised vertical line on either end. It contains six dots in the outer ring, which is completely filled with blue enamel. There is an inner central circle, measuring 6mm, however, this does not have any enamel present. There is a circular border measuring 2mm in width around the entire brooch. The reverse of the brooch is plain with the hinge for the pin and the catchplate present, however, the pin is missing. See Hattatt, 1989, pg 344, no.1029 and 1030.
