A medieval copper-alloy harness hook with domed terminal. The dome tapers to a blunt point at its apex. Its underside is slightly bevelled before a marked narrowing into the hook. This continues straight down from the terminal for a short way before angling to one side, then recurving back on itself. There is a gap between the end of the hook and its body before the curve; this may have been smaller when in use, the whole squashed together for retention. The object measures 50 mm by 10 mm

A complete medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy purse bar of Williams's Class J. The object consists of a central block with both, long, extending bars present, one bent upwards, and a swivelling loop; the type has no provision for a frame. Through the 'shield-shaped' block there is a circular perforation through which the integral rod of the loop travels. The central block is rectangular in cross-section. The block has bevelled edges towards the base. Any decoration on the main surfaces of the block is unclear. Both integral bars probably have a circular cross-section for their …

A distorted, but complete, medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy belt hook. The object is formed of a rectangular loop constructed from a copper alloy bar that curves around to form the loop; it has rounded corners. The bar then curves to form a hook, which was formerly U-shaped, before ending with a rounded terminal, decorated with twisted grooves. At the loop, the bar has a rectangular cross-section. After the loop the cross-section seems to develop, although it is unclear from the image quite how. The end with the spherical terminal has been bent outwards, far from its original al…
