Lead stylus, tapering to a point at one end. There is ridging along the body caused during manufacture. Stylus were used from the Roman period through until the Post-medieval and so it is difficult to assign a date to them. There have been a small number of Roman finds from this field, as well as medieval and post-medieval finds.

Post-medieval copper alloy candle ejector. The item was cast in one piece and has two main components a flat handle and a round ridged pin. The end closest to the pin is flat with a slight projecting lip on the back. In outline the handle has the shape of a larger oval, toppped by a smaller oval, topped in turn by a knob producing a shape reminiscent of an acorn. The pin fitted through a slot in the wall of the candle holder allowing the candle to be raised and ejected.

Egan and Pritchard (1991) illustrate similar examples on page 214, fig.134, nos.1160-1161, which are dated from c.1350-1400.

An incomplete copper-alloy, double-loop buckle, of probable Post-medieval date (c. AD 1570-1700). It is rectangular in shape, with rounded corners. The pin is missing. The frame is patinated black-brown and is very corroded. The strap bar appears to be narrowed in the centre to accommodate the pin but this could be a result of corrosion.
Measurements: Length, 29.2mm; Width, 32.1mm; Thickness, 2.4mm; Weight, 5.94g.
There is a similar example in Whitehead (2016), p.75 no.459.

A medieval copper-alloy buckle frame of c. 14th-century date. It is oval with an offset, narrowed and recessed bar; the pin is missing bar there is an external notch on the bar where it was located. Its outer edge is bevelled externally on the front. At the centre on the front the angled side is interrupted by a protruding pointed pin rest with central internal groove.

An incomplete cast copper alloy single-looped sub-rectangular buckle from the Post-medieval period (c. AD 1500 - 1650). It features concave sides, a rounded front with a single lobed knob and a slightly recessed, narrowed strap bar. The frame is patinated brown in colour with some patches of brown-black present.
Measurements: Length, 3.50mm; Width, 24mm; Thickness 3.50mm; Weight, 4.83g.
There is a similar example in Whitehead (2016), p. 28, no.145. Similar examples have also been recorded on the database such as CORN-EB29AC.
