A medieval French Jetton, 'IHS' type. This type of jetton, dating to the 15th century, has an obverse design consisting of the letters IHS (for Jesus) in black-letter script, and a reverse cross fleuretty, with the inscription 'Ave Maris Stella dei Mater' (taken from a popular liturgical hymn of the day) on both faces in Lombardic script.

A cast copper-alloy leg from a late medieval to post-medieval metal vessel. The leg is sub-rectangular in profile, with a raised central longitudinal ridge. The bottom edge is rounded, whilst the angled top edge is truncated close to where it would have met the bowl base/side of the vessel. The surfaces are in reasonably good condition, with an even green patina. The object measures 67mm long, 31mm wide and 13mm thick across the midrib. Its massis 117g.

A late 17th - early 19th-century rapier, with an iron blade, and copper-alloy pommel and guard. The grip is not preserved, but traces of decorative silver wire, and of (?) wood remain over the iron tang. The figure-8-shaped guard is solid cast (rather than machine-pressed), but undecorated but for a moulded marginal line. The blade is heavily corroded, but its overall form and 'blood-runner' groove are still clearly visible. A cast copper-alloy Double-loop asymmetrical buckle of probable late 16th to late 17th/early 18th century date (see Whitehead 1996, no. 593). One side of the frame is D-shaped and the other side is trapezoidal. Extending outwards from the centre of the D-shaped side is a comlex geometric/foliate openwork projection, forming an ornate pin-rest. The buckle's upper surfaces are angled downwards and outwards and the underside is flat. The buckle measures 35mm in length and 9mm in width. It weighs 3.35g.

Roman bow brooch: Part fo the bow from a Roman trumpet-headed brooch, dated c. AD 75-175. The head is shaped like the bell of a trumpet and is expanded beyond its junction with the bow, forming a large projection at the apex of the head. Behind the head the spring/pin mechanism has been lost, but the space within which it sat it clearly visible. Only the upper section of the bow is preserved, as there is a truncation just below the bow's central moulding. The upper bow is of subtriangular section, and has a double collar around it at the junction just above the central moulding. …
