A bent silver penny of short cross class 6b2-6c3. It was minted in Canterbury, by a moneyer known as HIVN (probably Ivan), between c. AD 1213 and 1217 [towards the end of the reign of John I (AD 119-1216) or, very early under Henry III's rule (1216-1272)].
The coin weighs 1.2g, and measures 22mm in diameter, 1.0mm in thickness.

A cut long cross halfpenny, of class Va-g. More precise identification not possible, as coin is clipped across bust. It was minted between 1250 and 1265, under Henry III, by a moneyer known as Nicole. Moneyers of this name were working in both Canterbury and London at the time that coins of type V were struck, but the reverse legend matches the Canterbury type most closely.
