Medieval lead pilgrim’s ampulla of 14th to early 16th century date The ampulla is incomplete and distorted, missing some of the mouth and the side loops (with a distorted length of 60.2mm and a weight of 55.4g containing some sediment). The expanded mouth (with a width of 27.8mm) is damaged and is partially open. The neck has straight parallel sides and is of oval section (19-22mm wide and 10mm thick). Lead spindle-whorl probably of late medieval to post medieval date The spindle-whorl is of rounded biconical form with a diameter of 18.3mm and a height of 10.2mm. The central perforation has a diameter of 8.5mm and the spindle-whorl weighs 13.0g. No decoration is evident on the whorl, although the surface is eroded. Medieval lead alloy strap-end, probably of late 14th or 15th century date The strap-end is of hollow-ended type, with a cast front plate and sheet back plate. The sheet back plate has been lost. The strap-end has an overall length of 51.5mm, a maximum width at the attachment edge of 26.3mm and a weight of 13.6g. Medieval lead seal matrix, dating to the 13th century The seal matrix is pointed oval in shape and is near-complete with some recent damage to the base with a surviving length of 38.20mm and a maximum width of 23.45mm.
