An early-medieval copper-alloy brooch of ansate type, dating from the 8th or 9th century The brooch is incomplete, missing the head (with a surviving length of 29.7 mm and a weight of 3.4 g). The arched bow gives the brooch a depth of 13 mm. The bow is of D-shaped section (2.8 mm thick) with straight parallel sides (7.5 mm wide). The bow is decorated with horizontal ribs, positioned at the apex of the arched bow and at the top of the leg. Early Medieval copper alloy D-shaped buckle of 11th century date The buckle is incomplete, and is represented by a little over half of the outside edge of the buckle frame, and has a surviving length of 26.94mm and a surviving width of 33.45mm. The buckle frame is convex, giving the frame a surviving depth of 10.3mm, while the frame has a thickness of 4.45mm and weighs 10.5g.
