Roman copper alloy spatula handle of 2nd to early 3rd century date The spatula handle is near-complete, although the detail is eroded. The handle is of Feugère (1995) Type A5. The handle has a length of 67.2mm, a maximum width across the shoulders of 18.6mm, a maximum thickness of 15.4mm and a weight of 43.4g. The helmet differs from other recorded examples in being three-dimensional with concave sides and a wide central groove at the rear. The helmet widens around the head (15.5mm x 15.4mm). Surface detail on the figure has been lost but the top of the garments are discernible below…

Medieval cast copper alloy thimble, probably of 15th or early 16th century date The thimble is near-complete with a length of 20.1mm and a weight of 8.0g. The rim is slightly damaged and has a diameter of 20.5mm. The walls have a thickness of 1.8mm. The rim is plain and has no incised border. The thimble has ten rows of hand-punched indentations, which end before the rounded top of the thimble, giving a plain apex of 6.8mm diameter. The thimable has good surface preservation with a pale to mid-green patina.

Post Medieval copper alloy rumbler or croatal bell fragment, probably of 18th century date The bell is represented by the loop and upper bell fragment only (with a surviving height of 209mm, a surviving width of 27.6mm and a weight of 9.7g). The integral loop is rectangular (20.9mm wide x 14.8mm high and 5.7mm thick; internal: 9.5mm wide, 7.8mm high). The sheet bell (with a thickness of 1.3mm) is plain on the surviving portion and is convex. The fragment has a mid-green patina.

Modern copper alloy (probably brass) manilla of probable early 19th century date and of type 'Okpoho' The manilla is in the form of a small penannular arm ring comprising a circular-sectioned oval ring (external dimensions: 60.3mm wide x 57.3mm long,) of standard thickness (8.8mm diameter) and with a weight of 79.2g. The terminals are sub oval-shaped (21.1mm x 18.9mm) with flat undersides. A rounded ridge runs from the ring to the base of the terminal. There is no decoration on the manilla. The surface has patchy preservation with a dark-green patina.

The lug is has an overall length of 16.3mm and weighs 8.6g. The central perforation is oval (8.4mm x 6.4mm) and the sides of the loop are rounded (maximum width 16.0mm), while the outside-end is flat. The loop is of rectangular section (8.9mm thick). The integral attachment rivet is circular with a diameter of 8.6mm.
