A complete copper-alloy button dating from the late Medieval to early Post-Medieval period c. AD 1450 - 1600. The button head is cast, solid, biconvex and has no surface decoration. The back of the button has a centrally placed integral perforated shank. Diameter of the shank perforation is 3.3mm. The button is in good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of head is 11.45mm, length (head and shank combined) 15.4mm and weight is 4.5gm. Diameter of loop perforation 3.3mm.

On its back is a centrally positioned wire "tear-drop" shaped sewing / attachment loop, measuring 9.5mm x 6.1mm. The button is in good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of head is 11.2mm, lengthc(button head and loop combined) 18.9mm and weight is 5.1gm.

A complete copper-alloy button dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. AD 1700-1900. The button has a hollow domed head. In its back there is a circular back plate, which has a centrally positioned wire attachment / sewing loop. The loop has a diameter of 4.4mm. Both the back plate, which has a diameter of 8.5mm, and loop are loose within the back of the buttons hollow head. All aspects of the button are in good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of button head 11.4mm, length (button head and loop combined) c.12.6mm and weight 1.5gm.

A complete copper-alloy button dating from the late Medieval to early Post-Medieval period c. AD 1450 - 1600. The button has a solid cast dome shaped head. On its back there is a centrally positioned integral shank, which has a drilled perforation for attachment / sewing etc. The shank is 11.0mm in length, and its perforation is 3.3mm in diameter. Some of the button's head and all of its shank have a dark patina. It is in generally good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of button head is 10.8mm, length (head and shank combined) 15.6mm and weight is 3.6gm.
