A copper-alloy Iron Age unit of the North Thames region / Catuvellauni, dating to the period c.20 BC-AD 10, probably Tasciovanus Jugate type. Obverse: Two bearded heads right, [VERI] in front. Reverse: A ram left, [TASCII] above. ABC, p. 131, no. 2655. Dimensions: Diameter 15.0mm, thickness 2.2mm, and weight 1.7gms. Die axis 6 o'clock. For a similar example see ESS-36FC52.

An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age-Roman Langton Down brooch, dating to the period circa : AD 25 - 60. The damaged spring casing and the upper half of the bow survive, the remainder lost in antiquity. From the head of the brooch, extends approximately two thirds of the worn but decorated integrally cast bow. The bow has a central raised rib, and is flanked on both sides by two less pronounced lines. The back of the bow is flat and undecorated. The brooch has a pale green patina. Obverse description :- Letters RVIIS on a tablet in centre of coin, a small ringlet above and below this.Die offstruck slightly towards 2 o'clock. Reverse description :- Griffin walking left with curved tail;below, triangular group of three pellets. Die offstruck towards 9 o'clock. Coin detail in good condition with a green patina ,measures 15.2mm diameter, 1.5mm thickness, and weighs 2.2g.

An incomplete Iron Age copper-alloy one-piece La Tene III Nauheim progenitor brooch, incomplete and badly distorted. The pin is missing, broken off at the coiled spring which has just over one turn before the chord is bent beneath the spring and around to the other side, where it has a single turn. Here the wire is circular in cross-section, but it then flattens to a neat rectangular cross-section along the bow of the brooch. An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age to early Roman Langton Down brooch dating to the early or mid first century AD. The wings enclose an open cylindrical spring cover and the spring mechanism and pin are missing. An overhead hook extends from the apex of the head. The bow is relatively flat and is decorated with three longitudinal ribs, of which the central one is the narrowest. The brooch is 29mm long, the head is 21mm wide, the bow is 10mm wide at its junction with the wings and 7mm at the point of break and and weighs 5.9g. The bow has a greenish-grey patina.

An incomplete copper-alloy Colchester one-piece brooch dating to the mid first century AD. The head comprises two wings which are rectangular in plan. A lug extends from the head of the brooch which represents a small portion of the integral spring mechanism which is now missing. The bow is circular in section and tapers to a sharp point. The catchplate and pin are missing. The brooch measures 66mm in length. It weighs 4.6g.
