Copper alloy mount in the form of human face, probably Medusa. It measures 46mm wide and 53mm long. It is mostly complete with just one edge being slightly broken. The features on the face have been quite crudely incised. The hair is parted centrally and extends all the way down the face. The hair appears to be plaited and there is a torc/decorative band around the head at the top. The mount is hollow and the back has the remains of two studs for attachment. There is corrosion on the back which has made the surface uneven.
