Below the ribs are two rounded bead-like sections which would have led into the key. This is where it has broken. The terminal of the fleur-de-lis section has a rounded knop.

The break is almost half way along the axe and there is a small piece missing on one edge which is visible when the pieces are put together. The axe is very thin, and its thickness does not vary much along its length. The blade edge is rounded, as is the butt end. It has an brown coloured patina with an uneven surface due to corrosion. Lead circular decorative stud, Post Medieval in date. It is circular in plan with raised decoration on the front. This decoration takes the form of a central cross, a raised border and four triangular projections into the angles of the cross from the border. Their is also a small raised dot in the centre of the cross. One part of the edge is missing. The reverse is plain but a central line can be seen, a remnant of the casting process. There is the remains of a central stud, which is incomplete.

Copper alloy and enamel cast-cell stud from the late Iron Age- early Roman period. It is circular in plan, flat on the top (enamelled face) and curved on the base. The base is plain and shows no obvious traces of attachment or remains of a stud. The front is split into three rows of three cells by raised lines of copper alloy. This gives a chequerboard pattern. The cells are filled with enamel, alternating red and yellow. Cast copper alloy Roman bow brooch, it appears to be a variant of a T-shaped and headstud type, dating to the late 1st century- 2nd century. It is mostly complete. The headloop is slightly broken, it has been cast integrally to the head. The wings are square-ended with two raised vertical lines on each as decoration. The bow has three vertical ridges on the top, which run together and become two by the foot. The It is a hinged type with the axis bar being held within close wings. The pin is missing just the end point, measuring 26.82mm in length.

Cast copper alloy pendant, in the shape of a heart, Late Medieval - Post Medieval in date. In plan it is heart shaped and appears complete. The pendant has been cast in one and has a small attachment loop at the top (now filled with earth). It has a pointed oval cross section with the edges narrowing on both sides. This could be related to harness pendants as there are openwork Medieval examples but the metal suggests this is a little later, it could be harness or dress related.

Lead Medieval- Post Medieval token. It is sub-circular in plan, having a serrated edge all the way around. The front has been decorated with an 8-pointed star, with lines radiating from the centre to each point, it has been engraved/scratched onto the surface. The reverse is plain. There are hundreds of different designs of lead tokens and they were used for a long period of time for various purposes such as gaming, weighing etc. As stray finds they are very difficult to date precisely.

Cast copper alloy Post Medieval crotal bell. It is mostly complete and is filled completely with mud. It has a square attachment loop with a circular hole in the centre. The bell has a raised median ridge. On the upper half are two circular sound holes on opposite sides. The lower half has two circular sound holes joined by a linear hole. One of these sound holes has broken slightly. There are traces of decoration on the upper half in the form of grooved lines running from the loop. The surface of the bell is corroded and has patches of green and brown.

The decoration consists of a central cross, with rounded arms, inside two concentric circles. The cross was infilled with blue enamel, some of which remains. Cast copper alloy Post Medieval spur, 1600- 1700. Side and slightly down-turned neck of a rowel spur, the neck is bifurcated (the gap is now filled with mud) and the terminals widen. The arms (so far as survives) have straight D-section sides, one is broken close to the neck(39.8mm), the other is complete (89.39mm). The complete arm ends in a circular terminal (diameter of 10.54mm) which has a circular stud attached (diameter of 13.33mm), where the spur would then have attached to the boot. There does not appear to be any decoration on the surface.

Cast copper alloy Post Medieval buckle. It is square in plan with rounded edges. It has a separate spindle (made of iron) which still has the pin and part of the plate attached. The frame is decorated all over with grooved lines. The two vertical edges having simple lines from one edge to the other. The horizontal edges having a criss cross pattern. In profile the buckle is slightly curved. This sort of buckle dates from about 1650 - 1750 AD. Buckles in a similar styles can be seen in Whitehead.

A silver sheet spoon bowl. It is circular in plan, the handle base extends from one edge but only a small section remains. This may have been where the bowl attached to a more solid handle. The bowl is slightly damaged with the edges being a little uneven and there being some dents in the sides.

A silver finger ring with a D-shaped cross section which has been broken and now forms a slightly bent line rather than a circle. The outer face of the ring has decoration which was cast in the form of a repeating floral (?) motif.
