A group of 5 small flint blades, possibly Mesolithic in date. They are all sub-rectangular in plan and have broken at either one or both ends. It is possible they are Mesolithic microliths. Ranging in size from 39.78mm x 10.22mm to 18.41mm x 12.81mm with a group weight of 7.0g. It is difficult to date flint precisely when it has been found out of context as a stray find, so a cautious date has been assigned to these. Their size suggested to Dr. Young that they could be Mesolithic.

Broken flint blade, possibly a Mesolithic knife. It is sub-rectangular in plan with one broken edge where it has snapped. It is made from a toffee-coloured flint with some darker brown and lighter orange patches.The front face (as the photograph) has a large flake taken from the centre running top to bottom with a smaller one either side. At the top is a small fragment of cortext surface, the bulb of percussion is also at this end. Small flint flake from the prehistoric period, Meolithic- Neolithic. It is made from a white flint with a greyish centre. It is sub-rectangular in plan with an indent on each side at the same level and uneven edges all around. There is a ridge which runs the length of the flake. This is probably a piece in the process of being worked into a tool which did not continue.

Small flint piece, possibly a small blade. It is made from a white flint with a greyish centre. The bulb of percussion is visible at the base. On the upper (dorsal) surface two flake have been taken off down the central line giving a trapezoidal cross section. This is probably a piece in the process of being worked into a tool which did not continue.

Three flint flakes/tools, all made from a light grey flint which has some white patches. Left- Sub-triangular in plan, all the corners are rounded. There is some possible retouch along the edges. This is a blade, probably late Mesolithic in date. Middle- Irregular shaped fragment with one rounded edge. This is most likely to be a flake of early Neolithic date. Right- Late Mesolithic blade, the upper end is pointed and has been retouched on both sides of this point. There is a median ridge running the length of the blade.

Lithic implement, end scraper. It is irregular in plan- sub-rectangular with a bulbous terminal. In section it is trapezoidal. The edges have all been worked. The notch where the bulbous part starts has been retouched. It is made from a grey flint which has some lighter coloured (white/cream) irregular patches in. It is hard to date single flint pieces when they are found out of context. Small flint blade which could date from the Mesolithic through to the Neolithic period. It is incomplete, one end having broken off. In plan it is linear with the unbroken end being slightly rounded and bulbous. On one face there is a central ridge, the other face is smooth. It is made from a light grey flint which has some darker grey patches. Individual flint tools and flakes are difficult to date precisely when found on their own and outside of a context.

Grey flint flake which has been used as a blade. It is sub-triangular in plan with a central ridge at the top, splitting into 2 at the bottom. There has been some re-touching on the left edge. Flint scraper or blade from the end of the Mesolithic period. The scraper is hexagonal in plan. The two long sides both look to have some retouching. The dorsal face has had 3 flakes taken off, the centre is flat with sloping sides. The ventral face shows the conchoidal ripples caused by striking the flake from its core. The top end appears broken which would suggest a function as a blade rather than a scraper. At the bottom the end has been retouched, to make it flatter, there is no clear striking platform.
