Silver half penny of either Henry V or VI, but probably the latter, so dating to 1413- 1461.
The flan is slightly out of shape, perhaps due to clipping. On the obverse the cross from the reverse is visible. There is a small piece of the coin missing at an edge, below the bust.

Martin Allen and Barrie Cook have seen this and comment 'We can make a basic assumption that this represents the last batch of dies provided for the Calais mint, before it disappeared for good.'
This is an unknown coin, the first penny of Calais known of this type.
